All that tape is totally unnecessary. That is a sure sign of an amateur bedding job. Another sign is how much epoxy you mixed up. What a waste!!! You mixed up enough to bed 4 rifles!! You should also use inletting screws, when glass bedding a Winchester model 70. Otherwise you get a lot of epoxy going into the chamber area of the rifle. This is a great video on what not to do. Thanks!!!
Thank you. Great video.
I can't believe you posted this. There is so many things you did incorrectly it would be hard to list them all. Please don't send any work to these guys until they learn how to bed a rifle. So sad.
Who was the dumb ass that thought that noise used to fill time was a good idea? Why would you not pillar bed this if you are going to glass bed it? The pillar bedding will help insure accuracy and the longevity of the glass bedding.
Lots of distortions when you remove action from uncurled glass
This is how you bed a stock the hard way
Do you bed the bottom plate?
The music is unbearable. Killed any chance of watching more than 30 seconds!
That music was seriously blowin me out. Very odd lol
You can literally see the action rocking back n forth. Omg i just csnt believe you actually made this public. Wow 👌
Your the worst bedding instructor ive seen . Omg seriously 😳
Separating the 2 parts while still soft, but firm, and cleaning up with a knife, saved me a ton of work later. Thanks!
I want to thank you for saving me from a WHOLE LOT of Dremel work! Everybody else said to let it set 24 hours. As soon as it firmed up, I pulled it apart & cleaned up excess epoxy with a pocket knife. May still need a little touch up, but should be VERY little. Thanks for making my first bedding job a success!
JB weld 8281 that's what I use! Works Like a champ 🏆 💪 👌 😎 👏
This is an absolutely great video! I have assembled three Remage rifles for myself and helped several other friends assemble theirs. All of mine, a 6.5 Creedmore, .308 Winchester and a 7MM Remington magnum are tack drivers! My 7MM took a nice bull elk last year at 230 yards, but I’ve shot it out to 500 yards, no problem. Great for the garage hobbyist. Nice job!
I couldn’t believe how bad this music was
McGowan barrels are junk. I have never had one shoot sub moa. Douglass 1/2 moa all day long or Lija
yet they are used by Carbon Six barrels. Many other manufacturers use the C6/McGowen and give a 1/4"-1/2" guarantee.
How about some dialog instead of a highly annoying sound track. Useless.
I am curious where to get Go/No-Go guages. I am thinking of putting together a Savage 110 in 25-06AI but I dont know where to get supplies.
I know this is an old video but the song is fucking horrendous, I’d rather hear natural workshop sounds
could you turn the radio off or whatever that obnoxious noise is? thanks
Please do a video on pillow and glass bedding a Sako 75 and 85 thanks
UNDERSTOOD in greatest detail , this is one of the very best vedio"s I have seen Thank you so much.
What is the wax removed with ?
Removing the right amount of wood from the inside stock and then adding the right amount of glass may be the tricky part. How much wood is removed ?
Different strokes for different folks, good job others may have more superior ways but I don't see them skinning out videos of "their " best way to do it. I will say thanks for taking the time out of your day to try and help others. Maybe they caught a peice of something that you did that uncle Joe Bob didn't quite do. That's.
Learn how not to glass bed your rifle!
Then show us hoe it's done stud.
Your camera work is terrible
Perfect video. Well done!
FYI: As an added precaution, I put a spot of red nail polish on the joint of the remage nut and barrel, and a spot on the remage nut and receiver. If the dots stay in alignment for 2 months of shooting, I will remove with acetone. This way, I know that the barrel is on snugly.
Never seen bedding done this way, probably for good reason.
I would like to make a bedding for the first time. I think that he may have used a bit much of the 2k material and he should let it harden completely. Why do you think that's a good reason you didn't seen like this before? greetings from Germany!
I want to put a 30" savage 110 barrel on a rem 700 is this doable?
What happened to Part 3 in finishing this project? Am I missing something?? I realize this was seven years ago, but I would like to see the finish of this job.
How not to bed a action lol
I remember my first time too.
Nunca teve uma parte 3?
Your boys technique will flex the action . Proveable with a dial indicator . Fail !!!
To each their own but this definitely not how I've bedded rifles
That looks like a goats ass sewed up with a grapevine homie......
Hope those aren't menthol cigarettes in your pocket, if so the government will be out for you.
What’s the purpose ?? No part 3 it’s not factory just killed the valve
Very cool and informative..........but the music.....yuck.
Good video. Music is not so great.
Bedding the magazine is not necessary and problematic to the bare clip. At least wrap in tape also a few layers so you have some play in it to clip in and out.

Great video .
A perfectly well-done demonstration of glass bedding your rifle but completely annihilated by music. Can't watch anymore.
I actually liked the music . Good video
